Businesses and web site visitors can now use different languages seamlessly in online chat. The company Valero has developed a real time chat feature that is powered by Google’s free online machine translation program called Google Translate.
The new application can be configured in various ways. Before starting the chat, the visitor to the website has the option of simply selecting their preferred language from a menu. After the selection is made, Valero will update the visitor’s interface with the selected language. In a different solution, business owners can also set entire departments to a specific language, which means that live chat will be automatically offered in the selected language.
